Start at the outer edge of one nail. Hold the file at a 45-90 degree angle against the nail edge and sweep the file towards the center of the nail. Repeat this until your nail tip is the desired shape.

File in one direction. Rubbing the nail file in a back and forth motion can cause the nail to split.

    Love Love these Japanese Nail Files…take great care of my brittle nails

    I really Love these Japanese nail files for several reasons, they do exactly as advertised and they have directions on how to properly use them to prevent splitting and breaking, but most of all they don’t cut my delicate skin just under my nail like a lot of nail files do causing painful sores and bleeding, especially using them right after showering or soaking my nails. Definitely recommend and will purchase these from now on. Arrived quickly and in a beautiful box with great instructions!!
